Candle Care

Here are some tips so you can get the most enjoyment and use out of your candles.

Wick Care

Wick Care

Keep wicks trimmed to 5mm. If you notice a large flame during burning, blow out the candle & trim the wick before re-lighting.

Burning for the First Time

Burning for the First Time

The first time you light the candle, allow it to burn until the liquid wax covers the entire top of the candle. This breaking in the process ensures that it will perform better and more evenly throughout the life of the candle.

Boring a Hole

Boring a Hole

To prevent candles from boring a hole down the middle, burn these candles for a minimum of at least 3 and a half hours at a time to achieve a melt pool that can be seen all the way through the glass.

Reuse Your Jars or Tins

Reuse Your Jars or Tins

Once your candle has fully burnt the tins and jars can be easily cleaned with hot water and soap. This way they can be recycled and be repurposed eg. hair elastics holder, paperclip tin, which means they won’t end up as landfill and you’ll be doing your bit to help the planet.

Candle Grouping

Candle Grouping

If you create decorative candle displays or light a few candles at a time make sure to separate them from each other, by a minimum of 10cm to prevent burn problems.

When To Discontinue Your Candle

When To Discontinue Your Candle
